THE ROLE

We are hiring for a Finance Analyst in our Singapore office. This role is a result of business expansion and will report directly to the Head of Finance (APAC) who is based in our Singapore office. We currently operate a 4 days a week in-office, 1 from home policy.

This hands-on role spans across various functions of the Finance department providing the select individual a platform to acquire a diverse set of skills and experience:

  • Financial reporting and control: ensuring high quality financial reporting and safeguarding the integrity of the financial ledgers of the firm.
  • Management information and analysis: building and leveraging a deep understanding of the firm’s business to help prepare insights to inform business decisions.
  • Tax: Ensuring operational compliance of all tax deadlines and accuracy of numbers in all returns/filings.
  • Treasury: maintaining relationships with banks/funds and efficient utilisation of the firms’ working capital leverage treasury management system (Kyriba).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the month end close process for the XTX APAC entities.
  • Accounting of the income statement and balance sheet, ensuring high degree of control and integrity around postings.
  • Analysis of the trial balance and ledger accounts, including variance, trend analysis and commentaries.
  • Managing external service providers to ensure timely  and quality delivery of tasks and reports.
  • Liaise with external auditors for annual/interim audits and preparation of statutory financial statements under sFRS and Indian GAAP.
  • Accounting and reconciliation of GST and other tax liabilities.
  • Leveraging Kyriba to optimise and execute treasury operations.
  • Perform the Accounts Payable function for APAC as well as provide AP cover for the rest of the regions.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Approximately 2-4 years’ experience working in a relevant role.
  • Committed to study/Part qualified for accounting qualifications (ACCA, ACA).
  • Strong academics including degree from leading university in subject demonstrating analytical thinking and technology skills.
  • Basic conceptual understanding of accounting concepts (IFRS/ sFRS).
  • Competent coding in Python applying best practices, with desire to further develop coding skills (Python and GO).
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SQL.
  • Desire to challenge and change processes and use technology to automate.
  • Keen attention to detail and control focus.
  • Good work ethics – able to work efficiently in a pressurised and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills.
